Before a stock can go up 10-fold, it first has to double, then 3x, then 5x, etc. Yet most investors will look at a stock that has doubled and think, “I missed the move, I’m not buying at these levels.” And even worse, some investors – calling themselves ‘bargain-hunters” start their due diligence with stocks hitting new lows. Occasionally it works but on balance a recipe for under-performance.

So we created the Tiki Hut Fund and Tiki Hut Newsletter. The idea here is to look at all the daily/weekly/monthly biggest gainers – and start snooping around. Big long-term winners quite often have a big day on big volume. In the weekend letter, we’ll look at the 52-week leaders.

If we get good at this, the goal is to use the proceeds and buy a Tiki Hut bar somewhere in the Florida Keys and work from there.
