Carlos has over 15 years of experience in corporate, project and structured finance focusing on natural resource companies, resource related infrastructure and services. He joined Blue Ocean Equities in 2022 as Senior Resources Analyst to focus on companies within the EV thematic, precious and base metals, fertiliser inputs, industrial, strategic minerals and mining services. Prior to joining BOEQ, Carlos was an Associate Director at Origin Capital Group and a Senior Analyst at Protego Asesores in Mexico (now part of Evercore Partners).
Carlos holds a B.Sc. Industrial Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM), a B.A. Economics (ITAM) and a MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
