The Liquor House Continues to Impress.
We called this the most interesting Company of 2023. While extreme volume and volatility remains unabated, we’re now wondering if this will become the most interesting Company we follow in 2024! While not for orphans and widows, everyone else should take a look.
Completed reverse split November 23rd, tumbled and is now recovering and up nicely.
The Liquor House (LQR) is a relatively simple company to figure out, with a stock trading pattern which is nearly impossible to figure out.
We’ll admit to being old school. We started in the business in 1976 on the exchange floor of the CBOE and while we have adapted, we still recall how things ‘used to work.’ You bought a stock and with the expectation it may move as much as 10-20% in a year (up or down), depending on the ebb and flow of news and or earnings reports.
Small cap companies however DID NOT move up or down 90% with minimal news or financial reporting, and in a single-months time. Crazy yes, but it is what it is.
For now, it appears (a wild assumption) calmer heads are prevailing and that investors are reading about the progress the company is making landing new clients, and ‘getting’ the developing story. We are, and always have been long-term in nature. So our practice has been to understand the business strategy as best we can and then in the upcoming year, follow how good (or not good) they are in implementing and executing on the game plan.
There’s a saying on Wall Street “hope is not a strategy.” We’ll add to that neither is “cringing and hoping” when an issuer’s security jumps up or down 50% in a single day. But it helps!
The practices of the majority of today’s investors, is however much different. There are three million plus share outstanding and it traded six million shares yesterday.
Wait what?
Where did all these trades come from?
Here are the recent headlines, we are working on our second more detailed report (for long-term investors). Subscribe to receive it and news updates on the Liquor House.

LQR House Announces Todo Spray as a Marketing Client
LQR House Unveils Beväge’s All-New Direct-to-Consumer Ecommerce Site

Ultimately we see the Liquor House having hundreds of clients. So the practice of issuing a press release with each new client win (unless it is with a Smirnoff or Bacardi) will curtail. But for now, the more news the better.
